Itinerary details

A loop itinerary that follows the footsteps of Dante Alighieri. It starts and ends in Ravenna, discovering villages and art cities in Romagna where Dante wandered during his exile.

It is a tour that crosses Lamone Valley, the Romagna plain between Faenza and Forlì, and goes through small villages such as Brisighella, Castrocaro, Terra del Sole, Bertinoro, they are places that inspired Dante to write the Divine Comedy.

The route runs between the plain and the first Romagna Hills. The road surface is on cycle paths and minor roads which can be unpaved.

The elevation profile makes it preferable to follow the route clockwise (Ravenna-Bertinoro-Brisighella-Ravenna), but it is also possible to follow it anticlockwise.
